2020 has, without question, evolved into the most challenging year imaginable for Tuckahoe Recreation Club. Despite the onset of COVID19, TRC leadership has upheld continuous access to, maintenance and operation of our facilities with a variable and modified schedule of services. Our operations teams have adapted to new systems and protocols for member access while adhering to the changing CDC and Government guidelines to best protect the safety of our members and facilities teams. Tuckahoe has also continued to offer access to tennis, swim and fitness facilities and kept up services including Tuckahoe Grille, Tuckahoe Tigers swim and dive team seasons and Tuckahoe tennis camps. These efforts and their results are commendable.
As the TRC representative Board of Directors, we want to hear the immediate needs and wants of the General Membership AND need your input for planning the future of the Club. As we look forward into 2021 and beyond, it may be difficult to envision what the future Tuckahoe Recreation Club will look like. We remain hopeful that TRC’s Future Normal will not look the same as our current normal and accept that adapting to unknown challenges to business operations “as usual.”
Following, please find a Membership Survey including questions regarding current needs and wants, as well as a number of proposals for long-range planning to help lead the Board of Directors to engage in building the club as the Members envision it. We encourage all members to participate in the survey by AUGUST 21, 2020.
There will be a Zoom Town Hall Meeting immediately preceding the Annual Meeting on September 22, 2020 at 6:00 pm. These survey results and answers to your questions presented, will be discussed during the Town Hall Meeting. You can RSVP to the Town Hall Meeting at the end of the survey as you present your questions for the Board. The Annual Meeting will take place immediately following the Town Hall at 7:00 pm, September 22, 2020. Zoom meeting information will be emailed to all interested members.
